E3 2008

Here are all the videos and articles posted on this site that are from E3.

Nintendo Press Conference and the Collective “WTF?” Heard ‘Round the World. – When thinking of Nintendo and E3 , one picture comes to mind. Several years back, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was soon to be announced at the 2004 E3 event. All fell silent, the lights dimmed, and smoke filled the crowded room of loyal fans. A video began playing on screen and quickly it was made clear that…

Call of Duty: World at War – Looks pretty good for a Wii game, plus two player modes are always appreciated. I don’t know if that will be online or if it’ll be during an on rails part of the game like Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 has. It will also have Zapper support for those of you who prefer the add-on above the basic layout. Glad to have another FPS game on board; the more the merrier.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – I love the slow motion areal combat they put in the game, it just seems so fun!

Dead Rising – Capcom might not be bringing Resident Evil 5 to the Wii but that doesn’t mean they’re not sending any zombies our way. Dead Rising is being ported over from the Xbox 360 based on the latest issue of Famitsu.

Mega Man 9 – Mega Man 9 is 100% retro, right down to box art. Take a look at the artwork for the upcoming downloadable sequel, it’s hilarious! Oh, and check out the full intro to the game up top!

D3 Publisher:

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers – Sword totting Japanese cowgirls in bikinis. If that’s not hot, I don’t know what is. Ryan Geddes of IGN.com had a chance to take a gander at TamSoft’s game, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers and was rather underwhelmed by their bodacious babes.

Deep Silver:

Gravity – Gravity is a puzzle game in which you must place certain objects on screen and apply the use of gravity to complete the stages. It’s a very unique game and a looker to boot.

EA Sports:

Tiger Woods PGA Tour ’09 All-Play – I’m diggin’ the online four player simultaneous play and the club tuner. This game seems like a lot of fun!

Eidos Interactive:

Moster Lab – Online battles confirmed! Bring on the monster mayhem!

High Voltage Software:

The Conduit – Man, this game just keeps looking better and better. I simply can not wait for The Conduit to hit store shelves.

Castlevania Judgment – Some fans of the series aren’t too happy about the direction this game has gone, but I think it looks pretty fun. Castlevania Judgment is a fighting game based off of Konami’s classic franchise.

Lucas Arts:

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – The duel mode is exclusive to the Wii version and it’s looking pretty slick! There are a lot of force powers in this video so enjoy!

Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of a New World – If you liked the first tale told on the GameCube, you’re going to love this! Here’s a new combat trailer to feast your eyes on!

Animal Crossing: City Folk – Along with the WiiSpeak microphone, Nintendo announced their upcoming attempt at online interactivity, Animal Crossing: City Folk. Not only will you be able to visit friends towns and paint your Miis face onto your in-game persona, you’ll also be able to chat with friends with the WiiSpeak device. Each will be sold separately.

MotionPlus – We all remember what was going through our heads when we first saw the Wii; it looked like a system that could revolutionize gaming as we know it. And though it has brought the goods in several titles, this new peripheral should put the “waggle” to rest.

Pikmin 3 – After Nintendo’s main event pretty much bombed with gamers worldwide, Nintendo stepped up and threw us a nice scrap to chomp on.

WiiSpeak – During the early part of Nintendo’s E3 main event, Sateru Iwata revealed their solution to the voice chat demands of their fans.

Wii Sports Resort – If you’re as excited for Wii Sports Resort and the new MotionPlus device as I am, you’re going to love this. The folks over at Gizmodo.com have heard that this bundle will be priced at $49.99 next Spring. Though they don’t know what the price is for the MotionPlus alone, I assume it’s going to be around $40 based off of WiiPlay’s prices.

Mad World – Super gory, super stylized. This game is for all you blood thirsty hardcore gamers out there. You’re the star of a hit TV show called DeathWatch in which you kill people in gruesome, over the top ways.

Sonic Unleashed – SEGA is pulling out all the stops with this one. Sonic taps into his inner beast this and no, it’s not Shadow. Sonic Unleashed will have a mix of side scrolling, 3rd person, and platforming gameplay and I hope it all goes over as planned, We’re rootin’ for ya SEGA!

Fatal Frame 4: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse – If Fatal Frame 4 really does have this effect on people, I’m SO buying this game.

SPRay – Care to play a game that will make you puke? Yeah, me too. SPRay is about a young heir to his family’s throne whose crown is embodied with two spirits of opposite spectrum.

Deadly Creatures – More venomous adventures are on their way! Spider-Man ain’t got nothin’ on this dude!

de Blob – One of the best looking Wii games on the horizon, de Blob is looking better and better every time i see it!
