Kirby Invasion Underway in USA

Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s… Bubbles? Sightings of Kirby shaped soap bubbles have come in from several local Kotaku fans bearing gifts of posters and book covers. These E.B. (Extra Bubbestrial, that is) Kirbys were lifted into the air with some sort of helium compound. Nintendo workers were on the many scenes promoting the upcoming Kirby Superstar Ultra for the DS. The posters and book covers decree everyones’ favorite warpstar warrior as “One Tuff Pink Puff” and show off his (hers?) “ultra” ability to suck.

Unfortunately, the event doesn’t appear to be kicking up much of a storm. Many pictures taken show a few tables set up in a vacant field. One attendee regrettably admitted they were disappointed atNintendo’s lackluster showing and the fact that there was hardly anyone there. Some locations, such as the Kirby Middle School in Alabama, had forbade its students from attending the event. They nearly didn’t allow the coordinators, which are said to be the same company who make fake snow for Disney, admittance to their field.

Kudos for the effort and imaginative idea guys; it’s too bad these events didn’t get more attention.
