MotionPlus Minus the High Price

When shown at E3 this year, the Wii MotionPlus peripheral was one of the best things to come out of the Nintendo event. Bringing 1:1 controls closer than ever before, the device is sure to have gamers clamoring for reservations across the globe. However, they won’t be needing to fork over too many bills as Satoru Iwata announced Nintendo won’t be attaching a hefty price tag to it.

“There will be games that will be enhanced by the Wii Motion Plus as well as games that can only be played with it. Users will need four if they have four controllers, but we’re going to try to offer it for as little as possible. We haven’t announced the price yet, but the cost of making the Wii Motion Plus is not that much, so I think we can make it very affordable.”

As the actual price hasn’t been released, there’s no telling how “affordable” it will be. It could be anywhere between $20 to $60, give or take. I’m just glad the add-on is coming.
