Ubisoft to Take a Whack at the Wii MotionPlus in Red Steel 2

Red Steel 2 might not be shown at the Leipzig Games Convention later next month, but some pretty good news has finally graced the Net with its presence. Ubisoft has confirmed to Games Industry that the sequel will be using the MotionPlus device to further its precise controls.

“Red Steel 2 has been in development for many months now, and this new device will help us be even more precise in what we do with the product…

So Red Steel is a brand, and as with every brand we have, we now have to reach the top quality possible. What was missing was the preciseness of the sabre – and with this new device I think it will change the experience.”

Oh yes, I was hoping this game was going to use the MotionPlus. The sword fighting elements in the first game will undoubtedly be overshadowed this go ’round.
