Nintendo Unveils WiiSpeak at E3 ’08

During the early part of Nintendo’s E3 main event, Sateru Iwata revealed their solution to the voice chat demands of their fans. WiiSpeak is a USB microphone that will sit on top of your TV and allow the entire room to communicate to others. Attempting to “connect living rooms”, Nintendo chose to address the lack of communication issue as casual friendly as possible.

It may not be the headset most Wii fans were thinking of, but it’s a start. WiiSpeak will be sold seperately and Animal Crossing:City Folk will be the first game to use the feature.
