Online and Voice Chat a Possibility in The Conduit?

Many Wii gamer’s have been asking for voice chat since launch. With the passing of Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario Kart Wii, it seems like our cries had gone unheeded. That, however, may very well change. High Voltage Software is looking to take communication on the Wii past preset taunts with their upcoming game, The Conduit.

ComputerandVideoGames.com reports that Dan Kaufman, the lead designer on the game, has said they “are exploring the possibility for voice chat… It is too early to make any promises along these lines, but we agree it could make the game even better!”

They also say Kaufman declared that the game would have several (three to be exact) online experiences along with the single player campaign and only one minigame to speak of. However, CVG claims that this interview was posted on the official Conduit website, which is nothing but a placeholder at this time. CVG is usually a reliable source of information, so even though they didn’t give a direct link, I’d bet on the fact that it’s legit.
