Capcom USA Cracks Down on Resident Evil 0 Port

Ports. Love them of hate them, they’re here to stay. With a boatload of ports already on the Wii and probably several dozen more to come, Nintendo lovers will be up to their ears in repackaged goods by the end of their console’s life span. In this “get rich quick” market the Wii has become, one company (or at least a section of it) has actually decided not to shove a needless cash in down their consumer’s throats.

Capcom USA has denied Capcom Japan’s request to bring a Resident Evil 0remake stateside… twice. Finally, someone has the decency not to release a polished up piece of you-know-what on the Wii. High five CapcomUSA, high five.

“Nothing is ever final, but we’ve been asked twice if we’ve wanted to bring it Westward and twice we’ve declined.”

– Christian Svensson, Capcom Entertainment Inc. – Corporate Officer/Vice-President of Strategic Planning & Business Development
