Ubisoft Considering an Exclusive Prince of Persia for the Wii

In light of the recent news that the next Prince of Persia game isn’t going to land on the Wii, Ubisoft came out to say they’re looking into an exclusive title to coincide with the one on the other consoles. In a recent interview with Edge Magazine, Ubisoft went on record with their plans for the Prince’s next Wii adventure.

“It’s connected to the game in a very interesting way, but it’s not a port. A complementary experience, shall we say? We ported Two Thrones to the Wii. It was a quick and dirty port, i can say. With that we saw a lot of potential. The controls were not fully optimised, did not take full advantage of the Wii, but a lot of people saw the POP universe could certainly have a home on Wii. Since then people have been looking into that, but there’s no formal announcement. We are investigating it very seriously. You would never see a port of the game we’re making however. That’ll never happen.”

So there is no confirmation that a PoP game will come to the Wii, just consideration. We do know that they won’t be porting over the upcoming game from the PS3 or 360 so don’t get your hopes up.
