Iwata Talks About Hard Drvie Support

Recently, Satoru Iwata answered a few questions about Nintendo’s plans and our beloved Wii. From defining the differences between the WiiWare and Virtual Console Channels to the usual financial mumbo-jumbo investors care about, Iwata and company pretty much covered their bases. One thing worth mentioning is Iwata’s response to a question about the Wii’s memory.

“Statistically speaking, it is true that there are a small number of customers who feel that the flash memory is too small, while many others find that they have plenty of memory. However, because this small number of people are none other than the most avid players, we know we have to review the best possible solution to eliminate their inconvenience.”

So they have finally acknowledged the fact that some of us are running out of space. Hopefully they’ll be giving us a hard drive or at least allow games to be accessed from the SD port. Could we see news of this troubling factor of downloadable content at E3 this year? We can only hope…

If you’d like see what else was talked about, check outĀ the rest of Nintendo’s Finacial Briefing.
